From local chefs making their culinary mark both near and far, to the distinctive restaurants this state has to offer, Mississippi’s hospitality radiates through in the pages of this magazine. It is our desire to preserve our culinary heritage and inspire today’s cooks with a new passion for cooking, eating and their community.
This magazine was launched in December 2011 when J.J. Carney, Associate Editor of the Lawrence County Press, decided to combine her publishing expertise with her love of food and cooking. She foraged the state to bring you the best Mississippi has to offer in terms of food, talent and local businesses. eat. drink. MISSISSIPPI welcomed Rebecca Fending as Editor in 2020 where she continued the tradition of sharing the love, passion and magic unique to Mississippi. eat. drink.
